This replacement basket is suitable for the Waterco Paramount SP5000 skimmer. A skimmer basket is essential to prevent debris reaching the pump. If you notice a split or crack in your skimmer basket it should be replaced as soon as possible. Â
To prevent damage to the skimmer basket it should be emptied regularly, particularly in areas with a lot of leaf drop and in autumn. If the basket it left with quite a lot of debris in it the flow of water will be restricted to the pump and filter. This in turn can cause the water to go green or potentially cause the pump to run dry. Certainly the basket will split!
